Master Bedroom w/OWN Bath popular
About the place: The room is the master bedroom in a 3 bedroom 2 bathroom/ apt. The room has its own PRIVATE full bathroom and a good-sized closet. Some bedroom furniture can be included, and the common areas are fully furnished, but you’re welcome to bring what you have too. There is a washer and dryer in the apartment. The building is modern and has a 24 hr doorman, gym, parking, roof access, etc. It’s on the same block as the Columbia Heights metro (green and yellow lines), across the street from Target, Best Buy, CVS, Washington Sports Club, Starbucks, dry cleaners, banks, and other shops and restaurants. Super Giant grocery store is a block away. Rent is $1130 and utilities and cable are split 3 ways. I’ve LOVED living here but am moving because of job situation. Move in date is negotiable. About the roomies: We are two 23 y/o females, went to school here and are now working full time in DC. We are both focused on work, but on weekends (and the occasional week night) we definitely like to go out. Overall we are pretty laid back, easy to live with, like to socialize. We are good friends, but also have our own social lives. Our schedules are busy, but when both are home at night we like to chill, have some wine, cook dinner, watch movies etc… and would love for our new roommate to join! About you: We hope to find someone in their 20s, preferably someone who also works a 9-5 (or similar) job--but that is negotiable. Neither of us has lived with male roommates before, but we’re open to the idea (especially since this room comes with its own bathroom!). We expect a roommate to help keep the common areas clean and keep their personal belongings in their bedroom, but whatever you do in your own space is your call. What else? Cigarettes are fine, just no smoking the apartment please (the building has a great rooftop for that!)… but we don’t protest to the herbal genre. Essentially we are just looking for someone who is as laid back as us, wants to chill once in a while, will respect our privacy (as we will yours!) and will pay rent/utilities on time.
