Hi! I am looking for a super female roommate to "team up" with to rent a new and lovely 2 bedroom apartment in the D.C. area (right now I'm thinking Ballston/Clarendon in Arlington, but I'm flexible - I don't know the area that well yet).
I have a tentative job offer from a gov't agency. They must conduct a 6-8 week background check on me, and once that is clear, then I will know for sure when I will start my new job/when I will be moving to D.C. (Probably December/January.)
I want to rent an apartment in a great neighborhood, but realized that I cannot afford the best areas on my own - so, if you, too, would like to live in a great, trendy place, let's split the rent! :)
I'm a super-financially-responsible 23 year old woman. (I majored in finance in college.) Specifically, I am looking for a straight female Christian roommate who won't bring the boyfriend over to spend the night. I'm a fairly conservative woman who loves to meet new people and am highly involved with my church (a non-denominational, Bible-based, charismatic/contemporary Christian church).
I would like to spend $750-1000/month on rent, which would mean we would rent a $1500-2000/month apartment. I'm looking into safe places with all the amenities, including fitness center, personal washer and dryer, free parking, close to the Metro, etc.
I have two cats who would move in with us, but they are super sweet.
